I am a distant relative in the USA that has talked many hours with Serge & Nicole since they finished the world run. Unfortunately, you have read only the tip of the iceberg of their adventures. Wait until you see the movie and read their two books--my sister and her friend who is a native French speaker have translate the two books. Absolutely amazing stories! Want a really amazing experience? Get a company in your area to contract with Serge for him to make a local presentation in person and hear his story first hand--he's a great story teller.
